Guest Speakers Presentation

In this session, we'll discuss the various approaches to insured perils, defining triggers, structuring, and indemnity for (1) Non-physical business interruption (NDBI) insurance and (2) Parametric solutions.

NDBI: Traditional property damage and business interruption (PD/BI) policies do not necessarily protect corporations from all the risks that may lead to a business interruption loss. In today's global economy, companies rely less on tangible properties for their continued operations and become more dependent on complex, world-wide supple chains. In addition, regulatory, reputational, cyber and other fortuitous risks threaten the long-term outlook of businesses.

Parametric Solutions: Traditional insurance coverage may not be the best coverage to respond to a loss of income and extra expenses that may result from a catastrophe. Experts agree that parametric insurance solutions are a useful supplement to traditional insurance programs when responding to loss of income and extra expenses.

We hope to stimulate your imagination about unique approaches to business interruption insurance and solutions for natural catastrophe events that drive further discussions.
